End of Support for Microsoft Frontpage Extensions

Microsoft stopped developing FrontPage Software in 2002 and ended its support in 2006. Since then many security vulnerabilities have been found in FrontPage extensions, effecting web sites using FrontPage extensions and other users on the server.  Our software vendor cPanel have decided to end support of FrontPage Extension and hence FrontPage Extension will no longer be supported on our servers beginning Dec 01 2014. 

If you are using FrontPage software to maintain your web site we recommend you use FrontPage’s FTP Upload option to update your web site.  Please feel free to contact our support team in case you have any further queries.

New ICANN Email Validation Policy

As per ICANN’s new Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA), Beginning in January, the registrant contact will need to be validated upon the purchase or transfer of a domain name or if the registrant’s first name or last name has been modified. Should any of these occur, CPHosting will send an email requiring an affirmative response from the registrant. Failing to receive an affirmative response from the registrant within 15 days will result in the suspension of the name. The name will subsequently be placed on ‘ClientHold’ status, taking the domain (and related services) offline.

If a registrant has already validated their contact information, this process will not be initiated.

The same validation process will take place if a WHOIS Data Reminder Policy (WDRP) notice, 30 day expiration notice or 5 day expiration notice bounces. It will therefore be of paramount importance to ensure the WHOIS data you provide is correct.

Scheduled Maintenance

Dear Valued Customers,

A planned maintenance on the PN01 network will occur on Friday, February 14 2014 from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST). During this maintenance window, we will be replacing hardware in one of our routing device modules, and a brief network disruption of about 10 – 15 minutes is anticipated. The need for this maintenance was identified through our monitoring systems and processes, and it is being implemented as a precaution against any future disruptions. Our Network Engineering Team will be taking all necessary precautions to mitigate any prolonged connectivity issues during the maintenance window, and if you have any questions, please contact support@cphosting.com.
