How to setup Email account on iPhone 5 / iPad 4

Here is how you can setup your email account on iPhone and iPad.  Please substitute name of your domain in place of “your-domain.com”.

  • Launch iPhone mail using the Mail button on your home screen.
  • The “Welcome to Mail” New account dialog box will appear. Select Other.iPhone Mail Setup Step 1
  • Enter your full name, email address (full email address user@yourdomain.com), and password.
  • iPhone Mail Setup Step 2When creating a Email Account on your iPhone or iPod touch, the Autodiscovery service attempts to use your your-domain.com email address and password to determine your CPHosting Server information and configure your account settings on the iPhone or iPad. If the Autodiscovery feature is unable to configure your Email account settings, then wait for 1 minute and go ahead with manual setup.
  • On next page account configuration wizard will come up. Select IMAP and type in required information.

  • Under “Incoming mail server”
    • Set “hostname” to mail.yourdomain.com or your servers host name.
      (Important: For secure access, please always use your servers host name which can be found in activation email otherwise you will receive certificate warnings).
    • Set “username” to email@yourdomain.com
      (Important: Make sure you always type complete email address as user name or login will fail)
    • Set “password” to your password
  • Under “Outgoing mail server” Setup Email account iPhone Step 4

    • Set “Host name” to mail.yourdomain.com or your servers host name.
      (Important: For secure access, please always use your servers host name which can be found in activation email otherwise you will receive certificate warnings).
    • Set “User name” to email@yourdomain.com
      (Important: Make sure you always type complete email address as user name or login will fail)
    • Set password to your password

You are now all set and ready to send and receive emails using your iPhone.

Tips:

  1. There’s an integrated inbox option on your iPhone for all your accounts, and this has been joined by the VIP option, giving you the chance to select the people you really care about and have them easier to see when they message you.
  2. Secure IMAP port is 993
  3. Secure POP3 port is 110
  4. Secure SMTP port is 465
  5. Always keep your email address up to date in cPanel Control Panel to receive important automated emails from Server about your domain and email account.
